Prices - We accept payment by cash or check. 2 for 1 Minnesota Permit to Carry : $150.00 for two people or $100.00 for one person. This course includes your day of training, student material, one month free membership to LegalShield and target. Does not include application fee to local Sheriff or range fee of $23.00.
Add the Florida or Arizona to your MN permit: $50.00 per person - Includes training material, fingerprinting, passport style photo and copy of Driver's License. Does not include the $112.00 fee to State of Florida or $60.00 fee to Arizona.
NRA Basic Pistol: $125.00 - Includes training material, book on Basic Pistol Training, and targets.
What happens on the day of class?
I will call the night before to firm up plans for the day. We will be offering a two for one pricing on the MN permit to carry training on that day. Meaning, two people can get the MN training for $150.00, or one person can get the training for $100.00.
What to bring: Bring the handgun you are going to carry (no single action cowboy style gun - we also rent handguns for $15.00 which includes the ammo if you do not have a handgun to use), fifty rounds of factory ammo (you can purchase the ammo at Cabela's or at the range), driver's license and your fee for the class by cash or check. Leave your handgun secured in your car until we go to the range.
We will meet on the second floor of Rogers Cabela's in the classroom at 10:00 am and class starts right after registration.
We will take a lunch break (Cabela's has a great cafeteria)
At about 3:00 pm, we go to the new indoor range in Rogers (Target Shooting Sports). We should wrap it up no later than 5:00 pm.
You can pre-pay for your class with PayPal or pay by cash or check on the day of class.

If you do not have access to a handgun for the Minnesota qualifying, we will make available at no cost, the use of a .22 semi-automatic, .38 revolver or a .9mm semi-automatic. Just bring the required amount of ammunition. Other types of handguns are available for rent at Bill's Gun Shop.

NRA Pistol Training - This course is for anyone who wants to understand the safety rules and basic function of handguns. Today, handguns are enjoying increased popularity due to the vast majority of states allowing law-abiding competent adults to carry them for personal protection. So as handgun become more present and their use increases, so goes the need for basic training.
This course provides the handgun novice with the necessary safety, operational and practical handgun training needed to continue on to a permit to carry class or to just enjoy target shooting.
When finished, you will have learned:
How to safely load and fire a handgun.
You will have fired 100 rounds from a revolver and 100 rounds from a semiautomatic.
You will understand the basics of how both a revolver and a semi auto function.
You will understand ammunition.
You will understand the basic rules of handgun safety.
How to clean and care for your handgun.
How to safely store your handgun.
How to select a handgun.
Have a meaningful reference for handgun safety and handling.
