Permit to Carry (Concealed Carry) Training - MN, UT, IA, WI & FL

Prices:  -  We accept cash or check for the class fee.

Utah Permit to Carry:  $125.00 -  Includes training material, fingerprinting, passport style photo and copy of Driver's License.  Does not include $51.00  fee to the State of Utah.

Utah Permit to Carry for returning students:  $70.00 - offered to returning students who have already taken the Minnesota Permit to Carry offered by Rusty (please bring certificate).  Includes training material,  fingerprinting, passport style photo and copy of Driver's License.  Does not include the $51.00 fee to the State of Utah.

Minnesota/Utah, Arizona  or Florida Combination:  $175.00 - complete both training qualifications on the same day.  Save time and money on this combination.

NRA Basic Pistol: $125.00 - Includes training material,  book on Basic Pistol Training and targets.

What happens on the day of class?

Classroom

Minnesota Permit to Carry/Renewal - Expect to spend at least four hours in the classroom for the Minnesota Permit to Carry.  You will receive a student packet to follow along with the presentation.  We encourage you to ask questions and provide input into the class experience. 

After the classroom session, the law requires that all permit candidates must pass a shooting proficiency test.   You will be evaluated on proficiency and safe handling of the handgun.

Utah Permit to Carry - If you have taken your Minnesota Permit to Carry with Rusty, you are eligible for a reduced fee.   You will receive handouts on the Utah Permit to Carry, Minnesota Permit to Carry and North Dakota Permit to Carry Laws, a resource disk with additional information, and other supporting documents.   This four hour+ class will have additional information on the Minnesota Permit to Carry and the North Dakota Permit to Carry.  You will have hands-on weapons familiarization in the class room with Rusty's handguns and training ammunition.  We will roll your fingerprints, take your passport photo and  make a copy of your drivers license in the classroom to assist you in completing the application process.

There are four ways we can help you obtain the necessary training required in order to apply for a Florida Permit to Carry:

1.  Attend the Minnesota Permit to Carry Class, complete live fire exercise and add-on the Florida Permit Application Packet.
2.  Attend the Utah Permit to Carry Class, complete live fire exercise and add-on the Florida Permit   Application Packet
3.  Attend the Minnesota or Utah Permit to Carry Class (even if not applying for the MN or UT permit), complete live fire exercise, along with the Florida Permit Application Packet.
4.  Attend the NRA Pistol Training, complete a live fire exercise and add-on the Florida Permit Application Packet.

What Should I bring to Class?

• Positive attitude on firearms and safety.
• A handgun that you are competent with (no single action cowboy style) - Minnesota/Utah only
• 50 rounds of factory ammunition (no reloads) - Minnesota/Utah only
• Extra magazines for your semi-automatic handguns - Minnesota/Utah only
• If you do not have a handgun, we have a .22 semi-automatic we rent for $10.00 - this includes the ammo.

• Do not bring your handgun or ammunition into the classroom - please keep them secured in your vehicle.
• Safety at the range is our highest priority - failure to comply will result in failing the course.
