Minnesota Permit to Carry: $125.00 - This course includes student material, book on the Legalities of the Permit to Carry in Minnesota, $25.00 gift card to Streiff's and target. Does not include permit application fee to local Sheriff.
Minnesota/Utah, Arizona or Florida Combination: $150.00 - complete both training qualifications on the same day. Save time and money on this combination. Fee includes fingerprinting, photos, notary service and packet preparation.
What happens on the day of class?
I will call the night before to firm up plans for the day.
What to bring: Bring the handgun you are going to carry (no single action cowboy style gun - we also rent handguns for $10.00 if you do not have a handgun to use), fifty rounds of factory ammo (you can purchase the ammo at Streiff's), driver's license and your fee for the class by cash or check. Leave your handgun secured in your car until we go to the range.
We will meet at Streiff's at 11:00 am to register for class.
We will take a short lunch break at about 1:00 pm.
We should wrap it up no later than 5:00 pm.

Classroom
Minnesota Permit to Carry/Renewal - Expect to spend at least four hours in the classroom for the Minnesota Permit to Carry. You will receive a student packet to follow along with the presentation. We encourage you to ask questions and provide input into the class experience.
After the classroom session, the law requires that all permit candidates must pass a shooting proficiency test. You will be evaluated on proficiency and safe handling of the handgun.
Utah Permit to Carry - If you have taken your Minnesota Permit to Carry with Rusty, you are eligible for a reduced fee. You will receive handouts on the Utah Permit to Carry, Minnesota Permit to Carry and North Dakota Permit to Carry Laws, a resource disk with additional information, and other supporting documents. This four hour+ class will have additional information on the Minnesota Permit to Carry. You will have hands-on weapons familiarization in the class room with Rusty's handguns and training ammunition. We will roll your fingerprints, take your passport photo and make a copy of your drivers license to assist you in completing the application process.

A handgun that you are competent with (no single action cowboy style) - Minnesota/Utah only
50 rounds of factory ammunition (no reloads) - Minnesota/Utah only
Extra magazines for your semi-automatic handguns - Minnesota/Utah only.
If you do not have access to a handgun for the Minnesota qualifying, we will make available at no cost, the use of a .22 semi-automatic, .38 revolver or a .9mm semi-automatic. Just bring the required amount of ammunition.

Do not bring your handgun or ammunition into the classroom - please keep them secured in your vehicle.
Safety at the range is our highest priority - failure to comply will result in failing the course.
